You only have to enter the Children’s Reading Center, in honor of Ouida Williams, on the 2nd floor of the King Family Library, or wander into the children’s rooms at our Kodak Branch and Williams Family Seymour Branch, to know that we consider children, special guests, at our libraries. The colorful surroundings with kid-friendly seating, puzzles, and computers provide a real ‘space’ for little ones to explore, learn, and ‘be at home’ at the library.
There are as many resources for our children as there are for adults and we hope you’ll take time to enjoy each and everyone with your child. We have all the classic storybooks and many new favorites. We have movies, audio, online databases like TEL4U (Tennessee Electronic Library) to help even the youngest learner get a good foundation and become a lifelong reader and learner.
There are lots of programs and activities planned especially for our youngest patrons and we hope you will attend many including baby/toddler and preschool storytimes, PJ Storytime, and more. Check out our events and calendar pages for details!
