For every 10 books children preschool through 6th grade read, or have read to them, the child will receive 10 stickers to place on a chart. It does not matter how many times a child listens to or reads a book this summer, it will only count ONCE on their book logs.

Reading Guidlines for the Young Adults

What do we define as acceptable reading? Anything: books, graphic novels, magaqines, pamphlets, CD liner notes. (We don't care-just read!) Please make a note of what you are reading on your logs and the time spent reading.

Time vs. Book Quantity In 2003, teens had to read 10 books. Since then, we've based our reading requirements on time spent reading, instead of number of books read.

Teens strive to complete 6 hours of reading during the summer months.
