WORKFORCE WEDNESDAYS AT THE SEVIER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM
Sevier County, TN: Workforce Wednesday is an open-door computer lab providing assistance to jobseekers as a free of charge service for unemployed Sevier County residents. Workforce Wednesdays will continue monthly February until June 2010 at the Main Library at 321 Court Avenue in downtown Sevierville. The SCPLS Seymour Branch will host additional Workforce Wednesday programs in February.
SCPLS Main Library Schedule
Workforce Wednesday will be held twice a month on the following days:
1st Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm
4th Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm
SCPLS Seymour Branch Library Schedule
Workforce Wednesday will be held twice a month on the following days:
1st Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm
3rd Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm
The service, offered the 1st and 4th Wednesday at the SCPLS Main Library of the month and the SCPLS Seymour Branch Library on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will provide staff and volunteer assistance for help in the following areas:
· Job-related searches using online resources
· Resume writing and formatting
· Online Applications
Jobseekers should be prepared and bring all pertinent information, such as job history, dates of employment, contact information, etc. for the resume. Participants should provide their own storage media as well. Free print services will be available for application and resume copies.
