SCPLS Offers Computer Classes in March, April & May

SEVIER COUNTY –The Sevier County Public Library System offers computer classes each month for beginning learners to computer users with basic skills wishing to become more proficient. The following classes will be available at the Sevier County Main Library located at 321 Court Avenue in downtown Sevierville:

·         Creating Letters & Using Mail Merge in Word – Thursday, March 18 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. - $5.00 fee.

·         Creating a Great Resume - Thursday, March 18 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. - $15.00 fee.

·         Tech Bytes: Common Storage Devices – Friday, March 19 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. - $10.00 fee.

·         Family Tree Maker - Saturday, March 20 from 9:00 a.m. – noon - $15.00 fee.

·         Making & Using Folders – Thursday, April 15 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. - $5.00 fee.

·         Blogs & Wikis - Thursday, April 15 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. - $15.00 fee.

·         Tech Bytes: The Control Panel – Friday, April 16 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. - $10.00 fee.

·         Creating a Great Resume - Saturday, April 17 from 9:00 a.m. – noon - $15.00 fee.

The SCPLS Kodak Branch Library, 319 West Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak, will offer the following class during March, April, & May:

·         Finding Information: Search Engines – Saturday, April 10,  from 9:00 a.m. – noon - $15.00 fee.

·         Learn to Use the Keyboard & Mouse Saturday, May 15, from 9:00 a.m. – noon - $15.00 fee.

The SCPLS Seymour Branch Library, 137 W. Macon Lane in Seymour, will offer the following classes during April & May:

·         Basic Skills – Wednesday, April 21, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. - $15.00 fee.

·         E-mail – Friday, April 23 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. - $5.00 fee.

·         Accessing Free Audio Books – Friday, April 23 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. - $5.00 fee.

·         Marketing Your Business Online – Saturday, April 24 from 9:00 a.m. – noon - $15.00 fee.

·         Creating a Basic Spreadsheet – Wednesday, May 26, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. - $15.00 fee.

·         Using a Scanner – Friday, May 28 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. - $5.00 fee.

·         Basic Computer Maintenance – Friday, May 28 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. - $5.00 fee.

·         Finding Information: Advanced Searching – Saturday, May 29 from 9:00 a.m. – noon - $15.00 fee.
