Emphasis will be placed on preventive care and services most needed by children, including vaccinations, well-child visits, healthy babies program, and developmental screenings. Refer to the benefit plan Tennessee has proposed to the federal government for more information on covered services.

    Cost to participate
No monthly premiums will be charged but each participant will pay reduced co-payments for services. Families above the income limit who wish to purchase coverage for their child can “buy in” to the program by paying monthly premiums. The premiums for children over 250% of the FPL are approximately $227 per month per child for the year 2007.
