The Library needs your help to reach its goal.



Congratulations Sevier County! With the public's help and from Sevier County Businesses, the new library is no longer just a dream. Groundbreaking should be soon! Due to rising prices, the building fund is still short of the necessary funds to complete the entire project. The King family has decided to offer an additional $500,000 for the project and has asked the city and private donors to match that amount. The City didn't hesitate in voting to add an additional $500,00 to the amount they have already committed to but the project still needs your help. Donations can be made by going to the Sevierville Library, the Kodak Branch, the Seymour Branch or the Genealogy/History Center or by using the "Donate Online" link below. Checks can be mailed to: SCPL Foundation, 321 Court Ave., Sevierville, TN 37862.

		Recycle Program
		To help curb the destruction and pollution of our natural resources, the Sevier County Public Library System has launched a discard drop-off point so that used ink cartridges can be reused and recycled.

		Summer Reading Program 2008
		The 2008 Summer Program will soon be over. The last week to participate will be the week of July 21st. Please join the SCPLS and Barry Mitchell with comedy and magic as we finish the 2008 Summer Reading Program. Don't forget to complete the reading logs and bring them to your branch library.

		S.C.A.R. (Sevier County Accelerated Reader List)
		The Sevier County Public Library System has been working with Sevier County Schools in compiling an AR Reading List for easy access. This is an ongoing project. School AR lists can be emiled to SCPLS for submission.

		SCPL Main Branch Fireside Book Club
		The SCPL Fireside Book club meets at Ft. Sanders Senior Center on the 2nd Friday of each month at 10:00am.

		SCPL Literary Classics Club
		The Kodak Branch of The Sevier County Public Library System will host the newly formed Literary Classics Book Club. The book club will meet once a month on the last Friday of every month at the Kodak Library from 6:00 pm until 7:30. 		Dolly Parton's Imagination Library was developed in 1995 by Dolly for her native Sevier County, Tennessee. The Imagination Library books are offered for replication in any community that would financially support it.
