Between 8-10 million people
visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park each year, making it
the most visited national park in the country. The Great Smoky
Mountains are among the oldest mountains in the world, formed
perhaps 200-300 million years ago. The park is probably Sevier
County's greatest attraction. It is open all year offers beautiful
views of nature, hiking, fishing, camping, picnicking, & horseback
riding. You will often see bears, deer and other native wild
animals in the park.
